
Dr. Woodward is a university lecturer in Canada, Ireland and the USA, and is an accredited music therapist with over 15 years of clinical experience in hospital environments and in humanitarian fieldwork. From 2004-2007 Dr. Woodward was the clinical supervisor and field director for a small international team of music therapists working with children and youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She has presented both her clinical research and her humanitarian work internationally in Canada, the USA, South America, Sweden, Ireland, Southeast Europe, the UK and Japan. After retiring as the Director of Music Therapy at Wartburg College, Iowa in the USA, she returned to Vancouver Island, British Columbia in 2022. Her latest project has been co-creator of the all-encompassing orchestral work, ‘Senses’, with composer, Wendy Cheung at the Orpheum in Vancouver, B.C. 2025.
